LEGISLATIVE FORUMS

One of the benefits of strengthening personal contacts with your legislators is that as dialogue with constituents increases legislators become more knowledgeable, and hopefully more responsive, with respect to our conservation issues.

The first part of the evening during these Legislative Forums is an informal reception where members of local LCTs have an opportunity to meet and chat with their legislators. The program that follows is a joint presentation by VCN and VALCV on Virginia's most pressing conservation issues and legislative impacts on our water, air, and lands.

Legislative Forums are usually scheduled late in the year and relate to the upcoming Legislative session. We will send out the forum calendar with date and location notices to all of our LCT members as the next round of forums approaches.

Please consider becoming a part of our effort to bring the conservation message home to every legislator by registering to join an LCT today. If you can recommend some other conservationists who might be willing to serve on LCTs, please pass that information along to us as well.
